DANIELLE BROWNE

Danielle R. Browne is an accomplished attorney, public servant, and proud Mount Vernon resident with a decade of legal experience, including a strong foundation in litigation. She began her legal career advocating for vulnerable New Yorkers in landlord-tenant and consumer debt cases, representing clients in court and volunteering with the Civil Legal Advice and Resource Office (CLARO) to help individuals navigate complex court processes.

Danielle is the founder of The Browne Firm, where she provides legal services in estate planning, business law, and intellectual property. Known for her clarity, compassion, and commitment to justice, Danielle helps clients protect what matters most and has built a reputation for legal excellence and accessibility—particularly in underserved communities.

In 2022, Danielle was elected to the Mount Vernon City Council, where she has served as both Council President and Pro Tempore. She is known for her thoroughness, community engagement, and leadership that reflects both legal expertise and emotional intelligence. Her work on the Council has focused on reform, transparency, and equity for all Mount Vernon residents.

Danielle’s judicial philosophy centers on fairness, respect, and equal access to justice. With experience both inside and outside the courtroom, she is uniquely equipped to bring integrity and accountability to the bench.

Danielle holds degrees from Columbia University and the University of Miami School of Law. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, mentoring, and spending time with family.
